Abstract

The paper is in two parts. The first part provides background information on manpower development. In the second part, we discussed the manpower development opportunities provided by the Jigawa Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (JARDA). Although the Agricultural DevelopmentProgramme places premium on manpower development by sponsoring different training programmes for different categories of staff, much efforts still need to be put in place, particularly for the village extension agents
